The opportunity to work with Carey & Andrea to learn how to use YNAB as a budgeting tool has been a tremendous opportunity for me to understand how God wants me to be a better steward with my finances. It has helped me become more disciplined—not only in how I manage my income, but also in paying attention to how God wants me to use it.
They have been so kind and nonjudgmental in their suggestions, making it easy for me to have a strong desire to put God first in my finances. I’ve learned to fully trust Him with my budget and finances through this experience.
After about three months of working with YNAB, I was scammed. It was extremely frightening, and I lost a rather large sum of money. However, by trusting in God and continuing to use YNAB for my budget, I’ve been able to come through the experience much wiser and stronger. Being a widow is not easy; however, having God in charge makes it a whole lot better, because I am never alone.
I am very hopeful that God will continue to bless me so that I can give beyond my tithe— supporting both the missions at my church and another ministry I’m involved in outside my church. There is no doubt in my mind that He is the one watching over me, my home, and my little family of dogs. God is good all the time.
