“My name is Randy Likens and I am the Area Director for Search Arkansas (searchnational.org). Besides coming to a saving knowledge of faith in Christ, I have discovered that one of the most important things in life is to have and live on a budget. With a family of 6, there is so much going on that, unless we tell our money what to do, we can easily become enslaved and stressed out. For many years, I was reactive versus proactive with money. The peace that comes with having a good budget and sticking to it is a blessing.

I work primarily with executives in the marketplace and I can tell you that most do not live on a budget. The stress that comes with that keeps many from experiencing all that God would have for them in so many areas. Also, we all know money pressure is the number one cause of marital conflict.
One Master Ministries has enabled us to get set up and going on that track. To be good stewards of what God has entrusted to us and to have a plan for our money is a spiritual act of worship. I believe how we handle our money says a lot about how we feel about God. Jesus mentions prayer 500 times in the New Testament and about 2,500 times he mentions money and possessions. Jesus says, “we will love one and hate the other. We will serve one and be a servant to the other”. That is the power of money and possessions. I also believe that at the end of our lives, we will give an account at the Judgement seat of Christ, among other things, on how we used our money and possessions. (1 Corinthians 3:10-15)
I am thankful for Carey’s wise counsel, his gifting in this area, and the fact that he and Andrea model this lifestyle so well.
If you do not have a budget that is working for you, let me encourage you to stop what you are doing right now and contact Carey. You won’t regret it. It may be the best thing you could do for your walk with God, your marriage and your family!”
